Creepy Dates: game facts, developer and community
Last updated:
Creepy Dates is a creepypasta dating sim made by Hahadit, a solo developer. It is free on itch.io, runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, was written in Spanish first with English, Russian and Portuguese options, and currently has three chapters and six routes.
There is no official wiki. The itch.io comment thread — over 2,500 comments, with the developer replying directly — is the closest thing the game has to one.

Who created Creepy Dates?
Hahadit, an independent developer who posts on itch.io as @Hahadit_. She is explicit on the game page that she works alone, which is the stated reason the current six routes are the priority before new characters get added. She is a self-taught artist from Argentina, and Spanish is the original language of the game.
She is unusually responsive in the comments — answering unlock questions, explaining how saves carry across chapters, and fixing a release-day Chapter 3 bug within hours. She also maintains a bug report form (linked from the store page) and asks that hostility go to her Tumblr rather than the form.
Her other itch.io work includes a Jeff the Killer dress-up game.
Searches about controversy
Queries like "por qué es controversial el artista de CreepyDates" show up in search data. We could not find a primary source — a callout post, a named allegation, a statement from Hahadit — that substantiates any specific claim. What is on the record is thinner than that: the store page asks that death threats not go in the bug form, and the Chapter 2 devlog thanks people who play "even if u don't like me". Those lines show friction exists. They do not tell you what it is about.
Until something verifiable is published, this page will not repeat rumours. The useful facts about the developer are above.
Where the community is
itch.io comments — the main hub
With 2,500-plus comments this is where questions actually get answered, in a mix of English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. The best route tricks documented anywhere — the Toby trigger, the cooking minigame solution — came from players there.
Tumblr and Twitter
Where Hahadit posts art and announcements — and, in practice, where news lands before itch.io does. The 25 October date for Chapter 4 came from her Tumblr, and her Tumblr asks are the most detailed source on the game's lore and roadmap anywhere.
Fandom and fan wikis
There is no official Creepy Dates wiki. Individual creepypasta characters have extensive Fandom coverage, but that documents the original creepypastas, not this game's version of them.
Looking for art rather than information? The images and screenshots guide maps where official art legitimately lives.
Reddit and YouTube
No dedicated subreddit of any size. YouTube is more useful — full route playthroughs of Chapter 3 exist and are the only complete record of some scenes.
A caution about secondary sources
Creepy Dates has attracted a cluster of near-identical fan sites publishing detailed walkthroughs that do not match the game — invented endings with point thresholds, a sanity meter the game does not have, and full walkthroughs for the unreleased Chapter 4.
When something matters, check it against Hahadit's official itch.io page, a devlog, or recorded gameplay. That is the standard this site holds itself to, and where we cannot meet it we say so on the page.
The wiki, entry by entry
Fifty-plus short entries covering the characters, items, places, systems and facts of Creepy Dates — each one limited to what traces to the game, the developer or recorded gameplay. Deeper treatments live in the route guides.
The six datable routes
- Jeff the Killer
- Met first in the forest (choosing him over Eyeless Jack is safe). His room hides the game's most useful items: the clothes pile with the underwear and the knife-carrying hoodie, the weapons closet, and the burned family photo. He proposes spin the bottle at the Chapter 3 party and is dismissive about his brother Liu.
- Eyeless Jack
- The forest alternative to Jeff, tied to the cooking minigame solved with eyes, pasta, eyes and no sauce. His Chapter 2 scene runs through Jeff's weapons-closet trip, which ends in the Jeff-or-Ben choice.
- Ben Drowned
- Lives in the basement with his TVs and consoles. You meet him by clicking the console on the floor — a documented trigger that also unblocks the Chapter 2 clean-up sequence. Decorates his lair sarcastically and threatens you with his axe; neither is a fail state.
- Ticci Toby
- The most missable route. He appears at Masky and Hoodie's jammed door only if you have never entered his room. Picking him as your favourite in Chapter 1 gates content, and helping him find his muzzle makes the scene go well.
- Masky and Hoodie
- One shared poly route by design — Hahadit has said she planned it that way from the beginning and a fan asked whether Tim and Brian are dateable as a threesome, receiving a blunt yes. Their bedroom door, tried with the knife, jams and triggers the Toby encounter.
- Slenderman
- You summon him yourself: paper and marker, candles from your bin, and the power cuts out. He later builds you a room from answers you gave him. High affection with several characters makes him possessive. No sanity meter exists on his route.
Characters without routes
- Laughing Jack
- Not romanceable. He hosts the Chapter 3 party, assigns the decorating job, hands you candy and spins the bottle for you. His room stays locked during decorating, with laughter behind it.
- Nina the Killer
- In Chapter 3 her room is full of Polaroids of Jeff, and she can give you a Jeff plush. Show her the burned family photo and she tells you his backstory.
- Liu Woods
- Jeff's brother, present in person in Chapter 3, helping hang garlands and visibly tense around Jeff. He appears in the damaged family photo; Jeff calls him 'a complete idiot'.
- Clockwork
- Appears in the game's wider cast without a route. The routes list tracks who is and isn't datable.
- Splendorman
- One of Slenderman's brothers, visiting during the Chapter 3 party — the reason Masky and Hoodie would rather be elsewhere.
- Offenderman
- Slenderman's other brother, also visiting in Chapter 3 alongside Splendorman.
- Hahadit
- The solo developer — she does the writing, art and development herself. She also has a smaller Jeff the Killer dress-up game on her itch.io profile.
Items
- The knife
- Comes from the hoodie in Jeff's clothes. Its actual job is jamming Masky and Hoodie's door, which triggers the Toby encounter. Worth taking on every route.
- The hoodie
- Sits in the clothes pile in Jeff's room; the knife comes with it.
- The underwear
- Also in Jeff's clothes pile. Handing it to him is the documented way to raise his love meter a lot.
- The muzzle (bozal)
- Toby's, and it is in his own room. Finding it for him is the favour that opens the rest of his scene. The original Spanish name is bozal.
- The candles
- Hidden in the bin in your room — the step most people get stuck on before the summoning ritual.
- Marker and paper
- The other ritual components. Already-made drawings work too, including ones from the memory box.
- The pills
- An inventory item with no confirmed use in Chapters 1 to 3. The Toby association comes from creepypasta canon, not from anything recorded in-game.
- The kidney
- Same status as the pills: collectible, no confirmed use yet. A Spanish-speaking player asked the developer directly and received no answer.
- Video tapes and camera
- In Masky and Hoodie's room during decorating. The camera breaks if you use it, and getting caught offers a truth, lie or silence choice.
- Jeff plush
- Given to you by Nina in Chapter 3.
- The candy
- Laughing Jack hands you a piece at the party.
Places
- The forest
- The first branching location: Jeff or Eyeless Jack, both safe. The room-order rules only start inside the house.
- Jeff's room
- Clothes pile, a desk covered in knife cuts and bottles, the weapons closet, and the burned family photo. He is out of the house during decorating, making it the quiet window to explore.
- The basement
- Ben's lair, with the console trigger on the floor. The Chapter 3 party and spin the bottle happen down here, much to his horror.
- Toby's room
- The room you must not enter early. It also holds his muzzle once his encounter has played out.
- Masky and Hoodie's bedroom door
- The trigger point of the Toby encounter — trying it with the knife jams it.
- Nina's room
- Full of Polaroids of Jeff, and where she shares his backstory.
- Laughing Jack's room
- Locked during the decorating sequence; you can hear him laughing and talking to himself through it.
- Your room
- Holds the bin with the ritual candles and the rug where you summon Slenderman.
Systems and mechanics
- The affection system
- Invisible but real: Chapter 3 states characters react to your affection level. Concentrate it for a clean route; spread it for the jealous variants.
- The favourite pick
- Naming your favourite creepypasta in Chapter 1 gates later content on that path — most visibly Toby's.
- The proxy offer
- Slenderman's end-of-Chapter-1 offer and the game's biggest branch: refuse for the mansion tour routes, accept for proxy missions.
- Room-entry order
- Encounters are gated on where you have already been rather than on dialogue. Save when you enter a new location.
- The cooking minigame
- Looks unwinnable; the documented combination is eyes, pasta, eyes, with no sauce.
- The decorating sequence
- Laughing Jack's job for you: three rooms plus the basement, and the richest exploration window in the game.
- Spin the bottle
- The basement party scene, proposed by Jeff after shooting down everyone else's ideas.
- Saves and add-on chapters
- Chapters install over one build and preserve saves — the developer's own instruction is to update and load your latest save.
- The screenshot function
- The game saves screenshots inside its own folder, which is how players capture route art.
- Language options
- The original is Spanish; English, Russian and Portuguese are set in Options / Opciones.
Release and platform
- The itch.io page
- The only official source, listed as name-your-own-price — enter 0 to download free.
- Download sizes
- Roughly 368 MB on PC, 361 MB on Mac and 388 MB on Android; Chapter 3 made the build substantially larger.
- Platforms
- Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, per the store page. Browser play works but performs worse on lower-end devices.
- Release history
- Chapter 1 in July 2025 (day per VNDB); Chapter 2 on 13 October 2025; Chapter 3 on 15 May 2026, announced 24 February 2026.
- Chapter 4
- Dated 25 October on Hahadit's Tumblr — no devlog yet and no year stated. Five or six chapters are planned in total, plus an NSFW DLC and extra routes after the main story.
- The bug report form
- Linked from the store page; it is the channel the developer asks players to use for problems.
Community and sources
- itch.io comments
- The main hub, and the only place the developer reliably answers gameplay questions.
- Tumblr and Twitter
- Where release dates and short dev updates appear, including the Chapter 4 date.
- Fan wikis
- Document the original creepypasta characters, not Creepy Dates' versions of them — our wiki page keeps the two apart.
- Reddit and YouTube
- Secondary sources with mixed reliability; verify anything surprising against the itch.io thread.
- The fake-walkthrough pattern
- Invented Chapter 4 guides, named endings like 'Digital Love', sanity meters and affection point tables all circulate. None trace to the game.
