Creepy Dates Chapter 2 walkthrough: the proxy choice to the Fin card
Last updated:
There is nothing to buy or unlock for Chapter 2. It ships inside the same free build as Chapter 1: install the current version from Hahadit's official itch.io page, load your Chapter 1 save, and Chapter 2 begins on its own when Chapter 1 ends.
Chapter 2 came out on 13 October 2025. If your chapter menu shows it as locked, you are running a build from before that date — re-download and install over it, because chapters are add-ons and your saves survive.
How to get to Chapter 2
- Update the game. Chapters are not sold or downloaded separately. One file contains Chapters 1 to 3.
- Load your most recent save rather than starting a new game. Starting fresh is the single most common reason players think a chapter is missing.
- Play Chapter 1 to its end. The handoff is automatic — you do not pick the next chapter from a menu.
Hahadit spelled this out repeatedly for the Chapter 2 to Chapter 3 transition ("load the last save you have of chapter 2, and when the chapter ends chapter 3 will automatically start"), and the delivery mechanism is the same one chapter earlier. If you are already past this point, the Chapter 3 unlock page covers the next handoff.
What Chapter 2 added
From the "Creepydates CHAPTER 2 — AVAILABLE NOW" devlog:
- A new chapter selection screen — this is the menu where the locked Chapter 4 slot later appears.
- A new attack system, which is where the weapon choice starts to matter.
- Three new main characters and two side characters.
- Seven new backgrounds and six new route images for the six romance routes.
- Fixes for Jeff's sprite and for the custom-character bug that made your jacket disappear on reload.
Translations lagged the release: Hahadit noted at launch that Turkish, Russian and Portuguese still needed doing, which is why some players met Chapter 2 in Spanish or English only.
The proxy decision decides what Chapter 2 looks like
Slenderman offers to make you his proxy at the end of Chapter 1, and that answer shapes your whole Chapter 2. Two players who mapped it out independently agree on the important half:
- Refuse the proxy offer and Jeff gives you the tour of the mansion in Chapter 2 — which is what opens up the Jeff, Ben Drowned and Eyeless Jack content.
- Accept it and you get proxy missions instead, where you pick who to go on the mission with. This is what Chapter 2's new attack system is for.
Neither answer is a wrong answer and neither ends the game, but if you are chasing a specific route, this is the branch that matters most. The choices page goes through it, and
Not yet confirmed: a full walkthrough of the accepted-proxy branch has not been recorded anywhere we can point to, so the mission chain beyond the choice of partner is thinner than the refusal branch. We only publish route details we can trace to the developer or to recorded gameplay, so this section will be updated rather than filled in with guesses. If you have a save file that proves otherwise, the Hahadit's official itch.io page comment thread is the fastest place to settle it.
The weapons closet, and how you meet Ben
Both of Chapter 2's most-searched moments sit inside Jeff's mansion tour, and both need a prerequisite:
- The weapons closet. When Jeff mentions the closet, click it. If his affection is high enough and he is your favourite creepypasta, he takes you outside to teach you to use a weapon. You pick one from the closet, you run into Eyeless Jack out there, and then you choose whether to carry on with Jeff or Ben — that choice decides whose route scenes and gallery images you get. The weapon itself has no confirmed mechanical effect.
- Ben Drowned. Go down to the basement and interact with the console on the floor. That is the meeting, and skipping it is also a documented cause of Chapter 2 stalling later.
The affection prerequisite for Jeff has a specific shortcut players recommend: click the pile of clothes on his bedroom floor to give him back his underwear, which raises his meter sharply. The Jeff route and Ben route pages cover each side.
Slenderman's questions at the end — and why they matter in Chapter 3
Chapter 2 closes with Slenderman asking you a set of odd questions: his favourite animal, a dessert, and so on. They look like filler. They are not.
At the start of Chapter 3 he shows you a bedroom of your own in the CreepyHouse and explains the questions outright — they were to get an idea of what your room could look like. So your answers at the end of Chapter 2 are what your Chapter 3 room is built from. If you want a specific look for it, that is the only point at which you have any input. See the rooms guide.
This is also the one part of Chapter 2 with a documented progression bug. Hahadit's own description: if Slenderman was your favourite creepypasta and you rejected the proxy mission, the story would not continue after the rubbish task. She fixed it in October 2025, so reinstalling clears it — and her follow-up advice, if a current build still stalls there, was to try a different combination of answers to those questions.
"Slenderman told me to clean up and look around" — and nothing happens
This is the most reported sticking point in Chapter 2, and it is usually not a bug. Two things players found were blocking them:
- Ben's console in the basement. One player reported that not interacting with it was exactly what stopped Slenderman from reappearing before the mission. Yes, you should click the console — see the Ben Drowned route.
- The new characters' rooms. Chapter 2 introduces new characters with their own rooms, and progress here tracks whether you entered a room, not whether you exhausted a conversation.
If neither helps, work through the progression blocker checklist.
You reached the "Fin" card — now what?
The end card is the normal boundary between chapters, not the end of the game. Keep that save, make sure you are on the current build, and load it again: Chapter 3 starts automatically as Chapter 2 closes out.
Do not start a new game to look for Chapter 3. That resets you to character creation and loses the save that triggers the handoff.
Seeing every scene in Chapter 2
There is no in-game scene checklist, and no completion percentage. What actually widens what you see:
- Enter every room before you advance the plot. Room order can lock content out for the rest of that playthrough — the clearest case is Ticci Toby's first encounter.
- Pick up items. The knife in Jeff's room and similar finds open scenes rather than just sitting in an inventory.
- Save at the start of each location so you can replay a branch without replaying the chapter.
The endings page goes into which choices narrow your options later.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get to Chapter 2 in Creepy Dates?
Install the current build, load your Chapter 1 save, and finish Chapter 1. Chapter 2 starts automatically. It is not a separate download or purchase.
When did Creepy Dates Chapter 2 come out?
13 October 2025, announced in the "Creepydates CHAPTER 2 — AVAILABLE NOW" devlog on itch.io.
How do I talk to Slenderman in Chapter 2?
He comes to you as part of the chapter, and questions you again at the end. If he does not reappear after the clean-up task, check that you interacted with Ben's console in the basement and entered the new characters' rooms.
Which weapon should I choose in the closet?
The weapon pick has no confirmed effect on anything. The decision that does matter comes right after it, when you choose whether to continue with Jeff or with Ben — that is what determines whose scenes you see.
Do I have to accept being Slenderman's proxy?
No, and refusing is what opens Jeff's mansion tour in Chapter 2, along with the Jeff, Ben and Eyeless Jack content. Accepting sends you into proxy missions instead.
The story stops after the rubbish task. Is that a bug?
It was one. If Slenderman was your favourite creepypasta and you rejected the proxy mission, progression broke. Hahadit fixed it in October 2025 — reinstall the game to get the fixed build.
What do I do after "Fin" at the end of Chapter 2?
Nothing special. Stay on the current build and load that same save; Chapter 3 begins on its own. Do not start a new game.
